Altom Construction Co., LLC is an excavation contractor based in Walnut Shade, Missouri and serving the Branson/Tri-Lakes area. Located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains, Altom Construction Co. was established in 1991 by sole owner Kevin L. Altom. A man of extraordinary vision and determination, Kevin Altom, with the help of one aged backhoe, dump truck and trailer, transformed Altom Construction Co. into a multi-million dollar excavating enterprise.
Prior to establishing Altom Construction Co., Kevin Altom worked for a local construction company in the Branson/Tri-Lakes area building custom homes and doing small, residential excavation. Passionate about the construction industry and utilizing his home building skills Kevin Altom focused the new company primarily on custom home building from 1991 through 2005.
During that time Altom Construction Co. developed a small, hand drilling and blasting operation to assist in the construction and excavating challenges associated with the rocky terrain of the Ozarks. Over the years the hand drilling and blasting operation evolved into a large scale commercial operation with large hydraulic drills replacing the hand operated models. The excavation side of Altom Construction also grew from a small residential operation to a large commercial enterprise.
In 2005, Kevin Altom, always open to new ideas and opportunities, purchased and brought the first portable custom crushing and screening equipment to the Branson/Tri-Lakes area.
Altom Construction Co.’s multi-million dollar fleet of state-of-the-art equipment includes various sizes of excavators, backhoes, dozers, skid loaders, motor graders, jaw and impact crushers, screening plants, drills, and dump truck.
